No. While the Z Flip series shares the same clamshell folding mechanism, the outer cover screens are completely different. The Z Flip 4 has a very small cover screen, whereas the Z Flip 5, 6, and 7 feature massive, folder-shaped cover screens. A case meant for a 4 will completely block the screen of a newer model, and the dimensions differ slightly with each generation. You must purchase a case precisely molded for your exact device
The ring buckle is designed for security and convenience. By sliding your finger through the metal ring while holding the phone, you drastically reduce the chances of dropping the device while taking selfies, walking, or texting one-handed. Additionally, you can use the ring to clip your Z Flip onto a lanyard, a keychain, or the inside hook of a purse.
Usually, yes. Qi wireless charging requires a flush, unobstructed connection between the back of your phone and the charging pad. Because the ring buckle adds thick metal and physical distance to the back of the case, it will generally block the wireless charging signal. You will likely need to plug in a USB-C cable or take the case off to charge the device.
In most standard ring case designs, no. The case typically consists of two separate pieces that snap onto the top and bottom halves of the phone, leaving the fragile central hinge exposed when the device is folded shut. While some cases use a fabric or leather strap to connect the ring across the hinge, it rarely offers military-grade drop protection for that specific area unless explicitly stated.
While the exterior is covered in retro PU (Polyurethane) leather for style and grip, the actual shock absorption comes from the frame underneath. High-quality cases use an inner shell made of rigid PC (Polycarbonate) to prevent the case from bending, combined with flexible TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) around the edges to act as a bouncy bumper that disperses the impact of a hard drop.
