How BonziCart verifies your identity and business details before activation.

BonziCart conducts thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) verification for all sellers before granting selling privileges. This process protects buyers, maintains marketplace integrity, and ensures compliance with RBI, IT Act, and DPDP Act guidelines.

1

Identity Verification

PAN and Aadhaar are cross-verified with government databases (Income Tax Department, UIDAI) to confirm your identity and legal existence.

2

GST Verification

Your GSTIN is validated in real-time against the GST portal to confirm it is active, belongs to the declared entity, and matches the PAN provided.

3

Bank Account Verification

We perform a penny-drop (₹1 credit + instant debit) to your provided bank account to confirm account validity and ownership before enabling payment remittances.

4

Address Verification

Your business address is verified against GST records and may be subject to a physical or digital verification visit for high-value seller categories.

5

Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)

For electronics, jewellery, luxury goods, and other high-risk categories, additional documents (business turnover proof, bank statements, brand authorization) may be required.

6

Periodic Re-KYC

BonziCart reserves the right to request updated KYC documents periodically (typically every 2 years) or when account activity patterns change significantly. Failure to comply may result in account restriction.

13. Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from new and prospective BonziCart sellers.

Can I sell on BonziCart without GST registration?
It depends on your situation. If you sell only within your state and your annual taxable turnover is below ₹40 lakhs (₹20 lakhs for special category states), GST registration may not be mandatory. However, since BonziCart is an e-commerce operator and most orders involve inter-state delivery, GST registration is practically mandatory under Section 24 of the CGST Act. We strongly recommend obtaining GST registration before listing. Contact our Seller Support team to discuss your specific case.
How long does the seller verification process take?
Most seller accounts are verified and activated within 24–48 business hours of submitting complete and accurate documents. Sellers using eKYC (OTP-based Aadhaar verification) may be activated instantly. Sellers in restricted categories (food, pharma, jewellery) may take 3–7 business days due to additional document checks.
I'm a home-based seller or craftsperson. Can I sell on BonziCart?
Absolutely! BonziCart actively encourages home entrepreneurs, artisans, craftspeople, and micro businesses to sell on our platform. You can register as an individual/sole proprietor. If you are registered as an MSME under the Udyam scheme, you also get access to reduced fees and priority support. You will still need a PAN, Aadhaar, and bank account at minimum.
Can I sell on BonziCart as well as other marketplaces simultaneously?
Yes. BonziCart does not require exclusivity. You are free to sell on Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, or any other platform simultaneously. However, your listed price on BonziCart should comply with our fair pricing policy — products should not be listed at significantly higher prices on BonziCart compared to other platforms.
What happens if my KYC documents are rejected?
If your KYC is rejected, you will receive an email explaining the reason (e.g., blurred image, name mismatch, expired document). You can re-upload corrected documents within 30 days from your Seller Dashboard under "Account → KYC Status". If you face repeated rejections, contact our Seller Support team at [email protected] for assistance.
How many products can I list on BonziCart?
There is no limit on the number of product listings. You can list unlimited products across approved categories at no extra cost. However, listings must be unique, accurate, and comply with our product listing standards. Duplicate listings or listings with misleading information will be removed.
When will I receive my first payment after a sale?
Payments are settled on a 7-day cycle (T+7) after the order is marked as delivered and the buyer's return window (7 days) has expired. For example, if your order is delivered on Monday, the settlement is initiated the following Monday and credited to your bank account within 1–2 business days thereafter. Premium sellers may qualify for T+3 settlement.
Do I need to arrange my own shipping?
No — BonziCart provides access to its pan-India logistics network with partnered courier companies at discounted rates. You simply pack the product and schedule a pickup from your address. Alternatively, you can use BonziCart's Fulfilled by BonziCart (FBB) service to store inventory in our fulfillment centers for same-day/next-day dispatch. Self-shipping is also supported for select pincodes.
